Flickassist was borne of the idea that trade plate drivers, platers, spend too much time and money using public transport to move between delivery and collection points. I frequently frustrated knowing there are many drivers around my drop off points who might offer me a lift, bu we simply don’t know we are near each other. What was needed was a system that knows where I am dropping off and where I need to get to, then puts me in touch with drivers who could help me. A welcome side effect would be much reduced public transport costs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like many platers I belong to a multitude of messenger groups and social media networks. This has proved to be an inefficient and frustrating way of arranging lifts between jobs. I decided to try and bring all these disparate groups into one efficient, central web based system.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Drivers have to post their jobs to multiple messenger and social media groups and then keep regularly checking them, looking for that elusive lift. This is time consuming and inefficient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Flickassist drivers upload their driven jobs once using our easy entry form then sit back and let our clever algorithms find matching drivers in their area. The system constantly updates, automatically looking for matching drivers as new jobs are uploaded. Once a match is found the driver is contacted and can choose to offer or reject a lift.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ve all been there, delivering a car only to see multiple platers driving past. If only we knew which drivers were collecting vehicles near our drop off locations. That\u2019s the problem with multiple messenger and social media groups. If you\u2019re not in the right group at the right time you won\u2019t even know a driver would have been nearby. How frustrating!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expenses for most drivers can range from a few pounds to over \u00a3100 per week. We aim to reduce these expenses significantly. The system is currently free. Eventually we will offer the service for a modest monthly subscription. This will be the equivalent of a few bus rides, one or two train or coach fares or just a single taxi ride.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Transport companies can bulk upload jobs for all their drivers using simple spreadsheet files. Other formats can be accommodated to suit their own internal systems.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
